Computer Lab- A teenage Sensation.
Back in the 90s we had only Windows 94 or DOS Operating systems. We were taught in BASIC computer language , which was awesome at those times. We were doing wonders with that BASIC programming. We were taught to draw geometric shaoes and some animals or plants which were close to geometric combinations. Totally it was DOPE!
Those days we were dealing with only Black and white screen Computer systems. Then as years passed we were introduced to the world of Windows Software. That literally blew everyone's mind away. The first audio we heared from the computer was the sound of the classic Windows opening theme. Then came the login screen.. Sky blue, textured with a flag type Windows logo.. Wow. What an Upgrade.. We had only Black and white Television sets at our home back then.. So while seeing colour we were awe struck.
Our Computer teacher was a great man. He taught us the basics in a very practical way. We learnt good knowledge from him. He once played an MP3 file in th computer. The sound was wired to the advanced speaker system which we never saw at those ages. The sound was the greatest sound we have ever heared in our lives.. The sound of a Blue Whale singing. Oh my god! Everyone in the class had goose bumps.. That was one day
Then as years passed we were introduced to HTML( Hyper Text Markup Language). We did some crazy things creating a web page of ohr own. Exploring various activities in the text book. Internet was not accessible to us. Not like these days. Even a two year old has access to Internet. We learned these basics from text books which was fun very fun. We used to exoeriment pyr typhng skills and speed like who creates a web page out of HTML the fastest. After some months we at age 13 or 14 we're introduced to MS Access and explored the world of DATABASE management. Small stint and we got off in style and were hoping to get computer subject in our SSLC OR GRADE 10. But due to the state laws in the Curriculum we were forced to take whats Best for us by our parents. We had very less or no knowledge what computer programming can do to the fate of the future of the world back then. Rest is History .
Looking back to all those years... Comouters qwre with CRT monitors and huge basic key boards.
Today the monitors are so small we call them tablets and computers come in various shapes ans sizes.
At any generation at any point of time in tech grandeur... Computer lab will be always a Teenage Sensation.
